This modern hi-tech plant manufacturing starter accumulator batteries of the new generation, Joint-Stock Company «WESTA-Dnepr» has been started-up in January, 2005 in Dnepropetrovsk. The total area of production premises of the plant makes 30 thousand square meters. The plant capacity makes 3 million of conditional batteries per year.

WESTA_Dnepr JSC «WESTA-Dnepr» is the headquarters plant of «WESTA» International Scientific Industrial Corporation (Wind Energy Solar Technologies Accumulating). The company has been established within the framework of the realization of a large-scale innovative project of nation-wide significance «Development and manufacture of the state-of-the-art standalone integrated power supply systems equipped with solar power systems, wind turbines and energy-storage devices» and is its executor. The project has passed a complex state expert examination, and by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2002 was acknowledged as «priority-oriented and especially important for the state».

The plant of Joint-Stock Company «WESTA-Dnepr» produces starter accumulator batteries that refer to a maintenance-free category («PREMIUM» group – «WESTA»™, «FORSE»™) and category of batteries requiring maintenance («Standard» group – «ISTOK»™ and other). The capacity of batteries varies from 38 Ah up to 225 Ah; they are characterized by high technical and performance features both at the normal and heavy-duty operational modes.

Scope of application:

* commercial vehicles, tractors, combine harvesters equipped with petrol and diesel engines;
* cars of any class with petrol and diesel engines;
* batteries for heavy-duty trucks, including those of special-purpose.

According to estimations of foreign experts, by the level of applied technologies and used equipment the plant of Joint-Stock Company «WESTA-Dnepr» is one of the best in Europe. The plant’s production by its technical and performance characteristics leaves behind analogues of well-known companies, and competes with them worthily: about half of all manufactured batteries are exported to the CIS countries, as well as to Greece, Korea, Germany, etc.
