WESTA International Scientific Industrial Corporation is recognized as the best ecologically responsible enterprise of Ukraine 2012

13-15 of November 2012 the International forum for steady development GREEN MIND took place in Kyiv under patronage of Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine. The solemn awarding of laureates in a nomination the Best ecologically responsible enterprise in Ukraine 2012 passed within the framework of the Forum.

Following the competition results WESTA International Scientific Industrial Corporation is recognized as the best Ukrainian ecologically responsible enterprise of the year for the production of high quality goods with help of innovative technological decisions, know-how in technological processes and equipment. Winners’ diplomas were rewarded by Mr. Ivan Varga, the first deputy of head of the State agency of ecological investments of Ukraine, and by Mr. Aldo Chervy, coordinator of projects on Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the International institute of organic certification and ethics.

Products manufactured by WESTA plants - WESTA-DNEPR and WESTA INDUSTRIAL – lead acid storage batteries with its technical and operating characteristics are in accordance not only with the requirements of current national, intergovernmental and European standards but also exceed existent analogues. Corporation activity is aimed at products quality improvement by means of state-of-the-art technologies in production process. The special attention on WESTA plants is paid to ecological issues: the system of the triple air cleaning and filtration, effective stations of industrial flows cleaning and neutralization are used, the programs of ecological management are implemented in accordance with the international standard ISO - 14001: 2004. WESTA Corporation got several awards for implementation of ecologically safe, energyeffective and resources – saving technologies.

The ecological forum GREEN MIND took place with the support of the National academy of sciences of Ukraine, National Presidential institute of strategic researches of Ukraine, State ecological academy of post-graduate education and management, Institute of problems of market and environmental - economic researches of National academy of science of Ukraine and other research and public organizations.

Eduard Stavitskyy, Minister of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine, Andrew Razbash, Minister-counselor of European Union, Aldo Chervy, projects coordinator on Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the International institute of organic certification and ethics took part in the solemn opening ceremony.

“International forum GREEN MIND is important event in informative and educating life of Ukraine. I am sure, it will bring good possibility to show the achievements, to make an exchange of experience and to assist in further development of the ecologically oriented society in Ukraine", - said Minister in his speech.
